At a trade show early this spring my totally cool friend Cassandra introduced me to Eliza B. I’m very lucky to have a totally cool friend named Cassandra to introduce me to all the right folks and all the right shoes!
Apparently, people drive for miles to find stores that carry Eliza B flip-flops. Well, we certainly don’t want people to drive any further than they need to (and really, once you’ve joined us on the beautiful coast of Maine why would you want to leave – especially if the best flip-flops on the planet are available right here?).
Thus the process of bringing Eliza B’s to SaraSara’s began then and there!
Turns out that when you order these little gems you get to design them from scratch. For every style I chose, I picked the sole color and style, the ribbon, the canvas under the ribbon, even the ribbon that goes between your toes! (By the way - did you know that the little leather piece that holds the toe ribbon to the over-the-foot ribbon is called a peanut?)
As I was creating these flip flops, I found myself thinking of all my customers. Conservative, adventurous, footloose and fancy free, elegant, hip....
